An intense crime drama on the portrayal of triad brotherhood, “Brothers” depicts the mistrust and feud between two brothers through the eyes of an investigating police officer (Andy Lau). Despite their close relationship, Yiu (Michael Miu) and Shun (Eason Chan) were separated at a young age due to a decision made by their father. Years later they meet again when the family runs into crisis where Yiu, inspired by his father’s last words, manipulates a series of setups which endangers Shun’s life, so as to achieve his goal.

Tensions rise in the triad underworld when triad leader Tin Tam (Wang Zhi Wen) falls victim to an assassination attempt. His son, triad head Yiu Tam (Miu Kiu Wai), is now in charge, and must secure the safety of the triad from interlopers Uncle Nine (Henry Fong) and Kui (Ken Tong). Meanwhile, cop Inspector Lau (Andy Lau) angles to bring Yiu down. Amidst this, Yiu's innocent brother, Shun Tam (Eason Chan) returns from America to visit his ailing father, only to find himself quickly drawn into the escalating violence of the triad underworld. Yiu acts to keep his brother safe, with trusted enforcer Ghostie (Felix Wong) acting as Shun's bodyguard. But Yiu may not be entirely on the level. Years ago, a fortune teller told Tin Tam that one of his sons would someday kill the other. To prevent that tragedy, Tin separated the two, but now that Shun and Yiu are back together, and with violence and betrayal surrounding them, it may only be a matter of time before the prophecy comes true.

Tips :
To watch on PC with softcoded subtitle: VLC media player(freeware)
To burn AVI to DVD with softcoded subtitle : ConvertXtoDVD ( pls use the search function in avaxhome ;-))

Tips to watch subtitle .SUB and .IDX format :
VLC Media Player:
1. Keep all the files (.avi, .sub & .idx) in the same folder
2. Play normally with VLC media player , go to VIDEO on top of VLC and choose SUBTITLE TRACK at the dropdown menu and select the appropriate subtitle .

ConverXtoDVD:
1. “Add” the .AVI file from the movie folder into the ConvertXtoDVD (the .IDX and .SUB file extensions should follow automatically providing all of them have the same exact file name). For non techie : FILE-NAME.FILE-EXTENSION
2. “Convert” and “Burn” normally
3. Use the button on your DVD or the remote control to select the appropriate subtitle for your viewing.
